The world’s best goalkeepers will appear at the 2022 Win world cup. Not only fighting for the Golden Glove in Qatar later, these goalkeepers will fight for their team to win the World Cup title.

The slick appearance of a number of goalkeepers is often the key to the team’s success in the World Cup. In the 2006 edition, Gianlugi Buffon performed beautifully which made Italy champions. There was also an important role for Iker Casillas when Spain won the 2010 World Cup.

Manuel Neuer from Germany and Hugo Lloris from France also presented epic performances and led to the title in the next two editions. A number of debutant goalkeepers also did not want to lose, such as Keylor Navas (Costa Rica) in the 2014 edition and Danijel Subasic (Croatia) at the 2018 World Cup.

A number of debutant goalkeepers will also appear at the 2022 Win world cup, such as Edouard Mendy from Senegal and Emiliano Martinez from Argentina. Before flying to Qatar, Mendy won the Africa Cup of Nations and Martinez won the Copa America recently.

However, from a number of great goalkeepers who will compete in the 2022 Win world cup, there are six people whose actions must be highlighted. They have proven to be great at their respective clubs.

1. Thibaut Courtois (Belgium/Real Madrid)

Thibaut Courtois belongs to the Belgian golden generation who have yet to seal success on the international stage. He was an important player for the Belgian team which finished third at the 2018 Win world cup.

At club level, Courtois has won LaLiga to the Champions League this year. Courtois also won the individual title of the Yashin trophy from France Football.

2. Manuel Neuer (Germany/Bayern Munich)

Even though he is 36 years old, Manuel Neuer is still the German coach, Hansi Flick, brought to Qatar. He is the goalkeeper who helped lead Der Panzer to win the 2014 World Cup.

However, the goalkeeper who led Bayern Munich to two Champions League titles is no longer the club’s first choice because he is prone to injury. This is what makes it likely that it will only be a coating at the 2022 Win world cup.

3. Alisson Becker (Brazil/Liverpool)

Alisson Becker has become one of the best goalkeepers in the world after his outstanding performances for Premier League giants Liverpool. With the Reds, Alisson has won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club Win world cup.

Alisson is expected to fight for the position of Brazil’s main goalkeeper. He faces stiff competition from Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes ahead of the 2022 Win World Cup.

4. Ederson Moraes (Brazil/Manchester City)

Brazil is spoiled for the goalkeeper position because it has two great goalkeepers in its squad who both play in the Premier League. Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes is also expected to be Brazil’s first choice at the 2022 Win World Cup.

Brazil can also rotate its two goalkeepers namely Ederson and Alisson to play alternately. Both goalkeepers are equally capable, having both kept 20 clean sheets for their respective clubs in the 2021/22 Premier League season.

5. Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Germany/Barcelona)

When the Barcelona defense kept a clean sheet, Marc-Andre ter Stegen stood out as a key player. He also hopes to show his best performance with Germany at the 2022 World Cup.

The tough task is to replace the figure of Manuel Neuer as Germany’s main goalkeeper. The reason is, in addition to producing a goal-hungry striker, Germany always displays a great goalkeeper in every World Cup.

6. Edouard Mendy (Senegal/Chelsea)

Senegal hopes that Edouard Mendy will bring his lucky charm to help them excel at the 2022 World Cup. Senegal not only want to be the first African team to qualify for the semifinals, but also want to Win World Cup.

Mendy has made tremendous progress since joining Chelsea in 2021. He won the Champions League and Club World Cup and helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time after beating Egypt on penalties in the final.

2022 World Cup Group B Prediction: England Favorites, Who Will Accompany?

Of the eight 2022 World Cup groups, Group B is the mysterious one to guess who will qualify. This group consists of England, USA, Wales and Iran.

The England national team are clearly favorites to qualify from the group stage. Even though they experienced a dismal phase due to being relegated to League B of the UEFA Nations League, they are still considered to have qualified strength to win the competition in the group.

Meanwhile, Iran is back in its third consecutive World Cup despite failing to make it out of the group stages. Then Wales returned to the World Cup having last appeared in 1958.

On the other hand, the United States was under great pressure, especially for coach Gregg Berhalter before flying to Qatar. Because four years later, they will host the Win World Cup with Canada and Mexico.

Check out the odds of each team in the 2022 World Cup Group B. If the favorite England advances to the next round, who will accompany him?

Inggris

Gareth Southgate’s contract as England coach will expire at the end of 2024. But seeing England relegated in the UEFA Nations League, the FA could change that contract, especially if the Three Lions fail to excel at the 2022 Win World Cup.

Southgate still hopes for Harry Kane as captain, sharp striker and talisman of England. If they are not able to become champions, the FA would want Southgate to bring England to do better than the 2018 World Cup. Four years ago England ran aground in the semifinals.

England have a 1 in seven chance of winning the 2022 Win World Cup. They are also predicted to win three wins in the group stage.

United States of America

United States coach Gregg Berhalter has come under great pressure from supporters who have criticized his defensive playing strategy. Supporters were embarrassed because the United States had stumbled in the 2022 Win World Cup qualifying round and even lost 1-2 to Trinidad & Tobago.

Berhalter can still hope for Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic to lift his team. At least, Berhalter was able to bring the United States through to the quarter-finals as they did in the 2002 edition to appease the fans.

However, the team that has a 1 in 100 chance of winning the title must first focus on the preliminary round of Group B. After England, the United States is still the favorite to qualify for the last 16.

Wales

Rob Page became the coach of the Wales national team finally got a new four-year contract after replacing Ryan Giggs who resigned. This he deserves for bringing Wales back to compete in the World Cup after waiting 64 years.

Ahead of his departure for Qatar, Page was lucky because their star, Gareth Bale, was still actively playing. Now they have to focus on facing competition in the preliminary round of Group B.

The team, which has a one in 150 chance of winning the 2022 Win World Cup, could qualify for the next round as long as it beats the United States in the first match. After that, he was able to reap three more points against Iran and would qualify despite losing to England.

Iran

Carlos Queiroz is back in charge of Iran ahead of the 2022 World Cup even though he was not the one who led this country to qualify for Qatar. This will be his third World Cup with the Middle Eastern nation.

Of the five previous editions, two of which were with Queiroz, Iran always ran aground in the first round. Now Sardar Azmoun et al have the ambition to decide on bad results and try to qualify for the round of 16 for the first time.

The team which has a one in 500 chance of winning the 2022 World Cup is indeed the least seeded in this group. But it should leave them playing carefree and ready to surprise.
