Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs resigns from the chair of Wales coach, fails to enliven the 2022 World Cup

“After much deliberation, I have decided to step down from my position as manager of the men’s Wales national team,” Giggs said as quoted by BBC Sport.
“It has always been an honor and a privilege to coach my country but it is true that the Welsh FA, coaching staff and players prepare for the [World Cup] tournament with certainty, clarity and without speculation surrounding their head coach position.”

Giggs insists he is reluctant to mess up Wales’ preparations for the 2022 World Cup, while still defending his case.
“As has been well publicized, I plead not guilty to the criminal charges heard at Manchester Crown Court.
‘While I am confident in our judicial process, I wish the case would have been heard earlier to allow me to continue my managerial responsibilities. Through no one’s fault, this case has been adjourned.”
“I don’t want the country’s preparations for the World Cup to be affected, destabilized, or threatened in any way by the continuing interest surrounding this case.”
