La Liga giants Real Madrid announced that Luka Modric has officially extended his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The announcement was made by Madrid on Wednesday (08/06/2022) evening WIB. Modric officially signed a contract extension with a duration of one year.
“Real Madrid CF and Luka Modrić have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract until 30 June 2023.” This is the official statement from the Real Madrid side.
The contract against Modric itself actually ends in the summer of 2022. Previously there had been doubts about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Luka Modric has stated that he wants to continue to stay at Real Madrid. His intention was greeted positively by the club management.
In the end, in April 2022, Modric and Madrid held talks. The result was positive.

Carlo Ancelotti had previously spoken about Luka Modric’s future, when he was widely linked with Juventus. He said Modric would stay and retire at Real Madrid.
“Modric will end his career at Real Madrid, and this is the desire of the club and also of Luka,” said Ancelotti, quoted by Sportsmole .
Modric has so far made 463 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions. He contributed 31 goals and 73 assists.
