Premier League: Antony Strikes Training, Ajax Amsterdam coach, Alfred Schreuder, has spoken about Antony ‘s future , which is increasingly being linked with Manchester United ( MU ).

“Antony doesn’t train with the team, but I see him every day,” Alfred Schreuder told Mike Verweij, as quoted by the Mirror , Friday (26/8/2022).

“Nothing has changed since Sunday. We have no time limit. But, I assume Antony will stay. He has a contract at Ajax,” he added.

MU really spoils Ajax

Throughout this summer, Ajax faced the fact that several of its players were targeted by Ten Hag to be brought to Old Trafford.

In fact, Ajax’s best player last season, Lisandro Martinez, has been transported to England. Previously, Alfred Schreuder also openly stated

that he would not sell Antony, who was targeted by MU. According to him, it is impossible for them to let Antony go after losing several key players this summer.

“We’ve lost five or six players, and I don’t want Antony to leave the club. I’ve told the club board that I want to keep him,” Schreuder told ESPN , Monday (22/8/2022).

“I assume the club will not sell Antony because financially our position is good,” he added.

Schreuder believes Ajax will win the tug-of-war with MU. He then scoffed at Manchester United who will not play in the Champions League this season.
