Liverpool’s President Goes Down the Mountain

Ready to fence off Jurgen Klopp for longer, Liverpool president to come down the mountain

Juergen Klopp - Liverpool Coach

Jürgen Klopp’s future with the Premier League giants Liverpool has become one of the hotly discussed topics. Jürgen Klopp had expressed his intention not to continue his coaching career at Liverpool after his tenure ended.

Previously, Jürgen Klopp had expressed his desire to take a break from football after his contract expired at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

Jürgen Klopp is known to have been with Liverpool since replacing Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.
The German tactician’s contract expires in June 2024.

After showing signs of rejection, Klopp has recently begun to soften.
Earlier this April, Klopp did not dismiss the opportunity to extend his contract with Liverpool.

The Reds are now reportedly speeding up talks with Klopp to fence him off on a new contract.

According to The Times report quoted by BolaSport.com, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) president Mike Gordon, has traveled to Liverpool.

Mike Gordon plans to meet with Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, to discuss a new deal.

Gordon and Marc Kosicke were also present in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Villarreal in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, Wednesday (27/4/2022) or Thursday morning WIB.

The Liverpool president sees Klopp as a perfect fit for the team and wants him to stay as long as he wants to be in charge.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach is reportedly currently earning £10 million per year at Anfield.

If you agree on a new contract, it is not impossible that Klopp’s pay will increase.

Klopp himself still has the opportunity to offer four additional titles for Liverpool in the 2021-2022 season.

The Reds have won their first trophy of the season in the form of the English League Cup.

They are also fighting for the Premier League title with only one point behind Manchester City.

Liverpool have also put one foot in the Champions League final.

They will look to maintain their two-goal lead when they face Villarreal in Spain in next week’s Champions League semi-final second leg.

Having signed a contract extension to keep him at Anfield until 2026. Klopp has set his sights on the end of a successful season, with the Premier League title, Champions League and FA Cup all within their reach to add to the League Cup – which is already locked in the trophy cabinet.

Since arriving in 2015, Klopp has helped turn fortunes in the red corner of Merseyside, bringing domestic and European glory to the club.

Now, the German wants more, saying, “We can’t wait 10 years to make memories. We have to do it now. We must enjoy the trip. We don’t know if we are going to win something. But at the moment, we are trying to squeeze everything out of this season that is possible.

Liverpool are also scheduled to face Chelsea on May 14 at Wembley Stadium in the final of the FA Cup.

“I believe, yes. The defeat gave us more confidence. Imagine if we had to lose in the Champions League for the second time, in two seasons in a row and lose the Premier League by one point. You will be disappointed. However, it gave us more confidence,” he said.

Liverpool derby retains title lead after Robertson and Origi…

Liverpool derby match with Everton took place very fierce. Where Liverpool maintain the path to lead the title thanks to Robertson and Origi. The Merseyside Derby was fierce against Everton.

Liverpool refuses to give up in pursuit of Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title. In this match, Andy Robertson is a true Liverpool derby hero. Divock Origi also joined in the game, impressing with a header that broke Everton’s resistance. Team Frank Lampard, are one of many currently facing the threat of relegation at Anfield.

Robertson perfectly recorded his second goal of the season. From Liverpool’s point of view, tensions are rising among the home fans. Before Robertson made the breakthrough at Everton in the 62nd minute.

Origi came off the bench to torment Everton again. It was his third league goal of the season as Jurgen Klopp’s side secured 12 straight Premier League wins. Although the parade was far from what many expected.

Liverpool Derby Score 2 – 0 Successfully Beat Everton

The premonition that accompanied Everton to Anfield deepened. Before starting the 240th Merseyside Derby. Burnley’s win over Wolves took Lampard’s side into the relegation zone for the first time this season.

Additionally, Ben Godfrey picked up a quadriceps injury during the warm-up and was replaced by Michael Keane. Lampard gave Yerry Mina plenty of rest after returning from two months off season against Leicester City on Wednesday. Everton kept one person on the bench, including 18-year-old midfielder Isaac Price.

To their credit, there were no distractions or relegation fears affecting the visitors in the first half. Which held Liverpool back and infuriated them. When Chelsea thwarted Liverpool’s title race in 2014, Lampard made a splash in his midfield, employing some of the late-stage tactics that Jose Mourinho used here.

Every time Jordan Pickford kicks and clears, it takes forever. Richarlison fell hard at every touch, sometimes untouched, while the incredible Anthony Gordon was shown a yellow card for jumping over Naby Keita’s legs in the Liverpool box. This started the first of two games in the opening round, and in fact, the double points game was more entertaining than the game itself.

Liverpool’s frustration was largely due to Everton’s well-organized defence. Discipline and sharp counter-attack rather than wasted time and drama. The hosts were unable to repeat the attack that beat Manchester City and Manchester United in their first two matches in the first half as there was no longer any open space to take advantage of.

Even the unusual carelessness in possession did not help Liverpool. Before half-time, Pickford was hardly worried. Sadio Mane’s 21st-minute goal was Liverpool’s first and only effort before Robertson broke the deadlock and tensions escalated at Anfield.

Merseyside Derby In Fierce

In the first half, Everton provided a bigger threat. Gordon shot away from Trent Alexander-Arnold through Abdoulaye Doucoure’s pass. And fell outside the box after being pushed from behind by a defender. Referee Stuart Attwell said nothing. Doucoure also managed to follow Richarlison’s extraordinary form. But lacking confidence, when he fired a soft shot in front of Alisson’s goal. Gordon did the same in the second half, running down the left but his shot just wide of the far post.

As mentioned earlier, the needle strategy is the most prominent feature of the first half. Richarlison fell with his face covered from the start after being touched by Fabinho. He fell to the ground again in the first half, forcing Atwell to stop playing. Both the referee and Liverpool continued to play as the Brazil international survived an ankle injury. An angry Doucure took action by giving a yellow card to Fabinho. Another fight ensues and Mane is punished for putting his hand on Allen’s face. Luckily for Diogo Jota, he raised his hand in response after a foul by Seamus Coleman, which only hit the Everton captain.

Everton remained dangerous in the first half. Almost entirely through Gordon, before being brought down by a missed shot and a penalty from Alexander-Arnold after a tackle with Joel Matip. However, Liverpool had more intensity and urgency in the second half, with Mohamed Salah playing the better. Substitutes for Origi and Luis Diaz are Klopp’s mainstays.

Origi’s appearance is a scourge for Everton

Origi has been a scourge for Everton, having only been on the pitch for a minute when he swapped passes with Salah in the visitors’ penalty area. Salah crossed to the back post and, crucially, Robertson rushed past an open Pickford. Mason Holgate led Joel Matip, Salah grabbed the rebound and Robertson made a valuable contribution at the other end of the pitch to clear Dele Alli’s cross before Alex Iwobi scored.

Liverpool Derby Make Fans Finally Happy

Liverpool side make Origi coming off the bench, the win came at the last minute. Jordan Henderson collected and focused on Diaz at the back post as Robertson’s corner crossed the crowded area. The Colombia international fired a scissor shot that bounced off the pitch. Origi, once again, hid behind two Everton defenders to beat Pickford with a header from close range. Alisson still had time to poke fun at Pickford’s wasted time conceding the ball after making a save by Richarlison earlier. Liverpool had the last laugh but had to fight hard.
