The 110th season of the world’s most traditional six-day Bike Race will be held until 28 June to 3 July 2022 at the Berlin Velodrom. The Six Days of Berlin is a six-day track cycling race. However, there was a delay due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation. Initial information on ticket sales will be announced in the near june 2022. Last year’s Berlin six-day was canceled due to the escalating Corona Pandemic.
Valts Miltovics, Managing Director of six-day Berlin emphasized: “The current corona situation is forcing us to change plans again. Above all the health of the athletes, employees and visitors is our top priority”.
“For the first time, the Berlin Six-Day Race will not be held in winter but in the summer of 2022. We will bring together the top racers and present a great event for the visitors” He said.
“We will stick to the innovations, which is for the first time we will also compete in all disciplines men for compete. Female cyclists also get the same size of paddock and equipment as men.
The Berlin six-day race was the first cycling event and so far only six days in the world where gender equality prevails. The young drivers also get a significant improvement. For the first time, the juniors will compete in a sprint race.”
As announced in November, the first three days of the 110th Berlin Six-Day Race are a section for the younger generation of cyclists. From 28 to 30 June, these young athletes will give birth to champions in various bicycle racing competitions. From 1 to 3 July 2022, professionals will ride bicycles to race for 6 days, both men and women.
