Spanish midfielder Isco has officially said goodbye to leaving La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Isco joined Madrid in 2013. The former Valencia and Malaga player later became one of the important members of El Real in the midfield.
This can not be separated from the creativity it has. But the last few seasons his playing opportunities at Madrid began to decrease.
But he was very successful in Madrid. In total, Isco has won 19 titles, five of which are Champions League trophies!
Isco had previously been widely said to be leaving Real Madrid. In the end the news did come true.
On Monday (30/05/2022), Isco said goodbye to leaving Real Madrid. He bid farewell to the club and the Madridistas via his Instagram account.
“When I was in Malaga and I knew I had to leave. I was engaged to another team. But Real Madrid knocked on my door and Real Madrid could not and should not be turned down, although there are always exceptions,” wrote Isco.
“I remember telling people to hell with Madrid who haven’t won the Champions League for years and I had a feeling it was going to happen soon and LA DECIMA arrived, everything that happened after that was history.”
“9 years later my time at the club that allowed me to fulfill all the dreams I had when I was a child is over.”
“Besides fulfilling a dream, winning more titles than I ever imagined, playing with the greatest people, meeting amazing people: I HAVE TIME AND THEY COULD TAKE MY BAILAO FROM ME. Because without a doubt I keep the good and I hope You, too!!”
Furthermore, Isco wrote his thanks to everyone at Real Madrid. Starting from fellow players, club staff, and coaching staff.
Of course he also did not forget to express his gratitude to the Madridistas. He is grateful that they have continued to support him all this time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I want to thank my team-mates, coaches, coaching staff, physiotherapists, kit men, workers at Valdebebas and Santiago Bernabeu for all the work, love and support that everyone needs and who has never been less than me. I also want to thank thanks to the fans who welcomed me in such a great way from day one and who accompanied this team in every corner of the world!”
“By the way, yesterday I told a friend that he doesn’t understand why they have a Cibeles party if [UCL trophy] number 15 is on the way hahahaha.”
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has previously spoken about Isco’s future. He said the 30-year-old midfielder would indeed leave Los Blancos.
This he revealed after Madrid underwent the match against Real Betis. At that time Isco played as a substitute.
“Isco’s career with Real Madrid ends today. But his career is extraordinary here,” he said as reported by the Daily Mail, via Football Espana.
