7 Manchester United Players Erik ten Hag Can Throw Out, Including De Gea

Erik ten Hag came to Manchester United with new hope. However, his arrival could also make some players excluded from the MU squad.

Manchester United signed Ten Hag from Ajax Amsterdam. The Dutch passport tactician is contracted until June 2025.

Ten Hag is believed to be making big changes at Old Trafford. He reportedly wants to form a new team that can compete for the championship.

The change will likely have an impact on Manchester United’s players. There are some players who may have to leave the club.

Here are seven players who are in danger of leaving Manchester United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace at a price that was not cheap. The English right-back was redeemed for a fee that reached 50 million pounds.

Initially Wan-Bissaka received a standing ovation from MU fans. He is considered a solution to the Red Devils’ long-standing right-back problem.

Over time, Wan-Bissaka’s level was deemed not up to MU standards. Because of that the possibility of Wan-Bissaka to leave was getting stronger.

David De Gea

David De Gea is probably one of the best goalkeepers. But he is not the kind of modern goalkeeper that Erik Ten Hag likes as the number one.

Ten Hag wanted his team to start from the back. While the Spaniard is not skilled in that aspect.

If forced to use De Gea, there is a large potential for blunders. Therefore, De Gea has the potential to leave Manchester United in the near future.

Scott McTominay

Scott McTominay is a Manchester United academy dropout who managed to break into the main squad. He appeared regularly in the midfield of the Red Devils.

However, the Scottish midfielder had a bad 2021/2022 season. As a result, he often gets a lot of criticism, including from MU legend Roy Keane.

McTominay is likely to be a valuable player for Erik Ten Hag. But it looks like the Dutchman won’t be playing him regularly if he doesn’t improve.

Alex Telles

Alex Telles joined Manchester United at the start of this season. However, he lost to Luke Shaw.

Telles was favored over Shaw by Ralf Rangnick in the second half of the season. But the Brazilian did not impress

It looks like Telles won’t be a starter for the Ten Hag. He could leave the club in search of better playing opportunities.

Bruno Fernandes

Until the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes became an impressive player at Manchester United. The stats are stunning.

But in 2021/2022, Fernandes looks difficult to show his best performance. However, his goals and assists are still impressive.

Fernandes has signed a new contract at Manchester United. But it is possible that Erik Ten Hag will not like Fernandes’ tough approach in creating chances.

Anthony Elanga

This may be difficult for Manchester United fans to accept. But Anthony Elanga may suffer after the departure of Ralf Rangnick.

Eagles are favorites under Rangnick. The Swede also worked hard and scored some important goals.

Ten Hag probably didn’t want to play it. Moreover there is talk that he wants at least one other winger this summer.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford is having a bad season. The reason is because his performance is no longer the same as the previous few seasons.

Rashford still gets a chance to play from Ralf Rangnick. However, the English player was unable to make a difference when he was on the field.

Rahsford is expected to return to his best form under Erik Ten Hag. Otherwise, Rashford could be left out.
