At the 2022 World Cup, Switzerland entered a group that is almost similar to the previous edition which contained Brazil, Serbia and Cameroon in Group G. Then can Switzerland be able to qualify again for the round of 16?

Brazil is likely to be the main favorite to qualify, while Switzerland can still fight for one other ticket. But before seeing the progress of the Swiss national team in the 2022 World Cup , first consider the profile of the country that is ranked 16th in the FIFA rankings.

Switzerland has not only always relied on Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, but there is a young player who is getting more mature, Breel Embolo. The 25-year-old striker became an important figure for Switzerland when they won a ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The player who now plays for AS Monaco became man of the match and scored 3 goals and 3 assists from 4 Switzerland matches in the preliminary round. Embolo collected 56 caps and nine goals for Switzerland, and has the potential to increase again in Qatar later.

Last season he appeared convincing for Borussia Monchengladbach with 11 goals from 31 matches in all competitions. This record is what makes AS Monaco interested in bringing him this season.
